"Live Oak" Bowl with leaves and acorns
This medium-sized Live Oak bowl was turned green to a final dimension. An Odie's Oil finish was applied as soon as it was finished sanding it to slow down the drying process and limit movement of the wood. The piece did move a little as it dried, but the overall effect makes it look fairly rustic and interesting. Notice the wavy top edge and the oval shape. WOOD: Live Oak. "Wheat" Bowl with geometric design

"The Flock" Bowl
This lovely Comice Pear platter has a grouping of herons flying across the sun. The bottom side has two rings burned in to rim and another two burned into the raised base. The finish is food safe. Root Burl
The unique piece of Manzanita root burl was left fairly natural except for the top and the bottom. A 2 1/2" wide hole was cut into the top for placement of a candle if you choose. The hole is about 2" deep. Both the top and the bottom are finished and polished to a high gloss shine. The deep rich reds of aged Manzanita at breathtaking. Bottle Openers

This small apricot bowl has an interesting pattern formed by the heart wood.

Dark wood grain made into butterflies on inside and outside of this large bowl. Minor cracks were made into sunrays.

The Reflection Bowl
This medium-sized Walnut bowl has lovely grain. it is light and smooth to the touch. It has a high polish finish. and a burned scene of trees reflected in the water on a pond. It would be a great bowl to hold a small arrangement of fruit or nuts or whatever you want to place in it. It has a food safe finish with a medium polished finish.

The Lizard Box
This laminated Maple and Purple Heart box has a Maple lid with an image of a lizard burned on the top. The lid is loosely fit (one hand removal) with nice figuring in the wood. The Heron Bowl
This small walnut bowl has an interesting pattern formed by the heart wood. It has a slightly flared rim, a high polish finish with an image of the the Laguna de Santa Rosa's logo burned on it, complementing the naturally occuring pattern..
